The city of the Argentine Independence
In the historic city of San Miguel de Tucumán, the essential ingredients combine to make this place a temptation when touring it; its friendly people, its history and architecture, palpable in every building, the proximity to the hills and a warmth that is perceived in every promenade.
It is the capital of Tucumán and cradle of the National Independence. It is also renowned for its cultural, economic and academic activity.
At night, the provincial spirit can be experienced in bars, theatres, restaurants and shopping malls that open their doors every day until after midnight.

Tafí del Valle: Adventure tourism, horseback rides, and idyllic landscapes surrounded by mountains. Cheese Festival in February. Accommodation suitable for every taste and budget.
Amaicha del Valle: Cave art, adventure tourism, horseback rides and a true paradise. Do not miss participating in the Pachamama Festival, in February.
San Pedro de Colalao: really beautiful for those who like to see green hills and mountains. Abundant vegetation. Horseback rides, small zoo, river, swimming pools.
Yerba Buena: For those who enjoy shopping and seeing beautiful vacation homes, and thence to the San Javier hill to admire the capital city from above.
San Javier Hill and Villa Nougués: The San Javier hill escorts the city to the west. It is a green mantle full of adventure sport options and unique landscapes with a view of the city not to be missed. Visit Loma Bola, one of the world’s best paragliding take-off spots. Also visit the imposing Blessing Christ that protects the city.

What to eat?
The culinary offer of Tucumán is extremely varied, since you can taste from typical meals such as the traditional empanadas of Tucumán, to international dishes. The province is characterized by the large amount of establishments that offer in their menus options for everyone. Make sure you try their typical schnitzel sandwiches (“Milangas” for the locals).
